This scarab is
a pottery scarab produced in terra-cotta molds, carved when dry and
different colored glazes applied. The glyphs on the underside are yet
to be translated. Beautiful blue faience glaze still to be seen. Cutaways
add value to this piece. This scarab is in excellent condition with
no major breaks or repairs. Measuring 1.5" in length. Greco-Roman
period (332 B.C. - 395 A.D.). Purchased from a doctor in Egypt. A fine
addition to your collection.
