The
above listed item is from the Third Intermediate Period,(1075-715 B.C.E.)
22nd Dynasty (945-712 B.C.E.) as a guideline. This piece was clay cast
and was once faience glazed. We acquired this item from a private collection
near Meydum, Egypt. This type of container was used for Kohl cosmetics
or unguents(perfume). This lovely juglet has an above mentioned period
cartouche with double Uraeus detailed in blue paint. It's intact, has
retained some of its faience glaze and has age wear. The reason for
the item being available is due to the vast extent of archeological
findings, thousands of years in Egyptian burials and also the proliferation
of these said items in older private collections worldwide. Our company
strives to provide our customers with the most interesting, unique and
quality Egyptian artifacts! Our company spends a great deal of time
researching and investing monies on private acquisitions to make these
