What
a neat item for that Ancient Worlds lover. This is a wonderful Ancient
Egyptian faience plaque with extrodinary details. This is a rather large
piece, made from faience with a marvelous blue color glaze. There is
a suspension loop at the top which is cleared and completely intact.
The plaque shows a beautiful Ibis Bird representing the Ancient Egyptian
God Toth. Toth is accented in black with a beautiful yellow onlay pigment
in the backround. The reverse side shows what appears to be hieroglyphics
imprinted. This powerful piece was most likely meant to be worn by someone
of high status/importance such as a Pharaoh or person of Noble stature.
This may also have been used as a burial Amulet wrapped inside the linens
of the mummy. This is a rare item and winning bidder will truly marvel
at the power and beauty behind this piece. You will not find another
one like this so bid accordingly. Please examine all photos provided.
As always sold to the highest bidder!. This superb piece measures 2"
tall by 1 1/4" wide{inches}.
